Creative juices set to flow on the South Coast!
One of the South West's leading design experts, who has created toys for Lego and interactive experiences for Prada, will be helping business owners in the region get their thinking caps on at a creative workshop later this month in Bournemouth.
Roberto Fraquelli, an award-wining design consultant and current head of Head of Design at the University of Plymouth, will draw on his experiences of working with the likes of LG and Procter & Gamble, to show company owners how they can use their creative skills to their commercial advantage.
Hosted by Beacon South West, a South West of England Regional Development Agency (RDA) initiative that brings together the region's most successful companies to share ideas, the Creative Thinking and Innovation Strategy workshop will take place at the Bournemouth Football Club on 27th September.
The day-long, action-packed event, which is being run in conjunction with the South West Design Programme, will equip those attending not just with new ways of innovating but also the means to turn these ideas into money-spinning initiatives. This process will be outlined in four, easy to follow sessions - Insights: What's going on out there?; Strategy: Who do we want to be?; Expression: How to turn ideas into a proposal and Communication: How do we tell our story? The cost for attending the workshop is £35 plus VAT per person.
Explains Roberto Fraquelli: "Creative ideas are the lifeblood of any business. This workshop will show companies, in a very easy to follow format, how they can take those ideas and turn them into potential new business opportunities."
Adds Sue Baker, project director at Beacon South West: "An ability to look beyond traditional ways of working is restricting too many firms in the region. This is why this workshop is a must for anyone who wants to break out of the mould and embrace the benefits of being more innovative."
