RH Advertising is Awarded Beacon Status
The coveted status of ‘Beacon Company’ has been awarded to Exeter-based RH Advertising, in recognition of the firm’s ongoing growth and success.
RH is one of the first advertising agencies to make it onto the Beacon list, a South West of England Regional Development Agency (RDA) initiative to put the region’s most ambitious and forward thinking businesses at the forefront of the South West’s economic growth.
Tough criteria mean only businesses able to demonstrate significant growth and best practice over the last three years achieve Beacon status.

“We’ve been expanding steadily over the past three years,” says Richard Marsh, managing director of RH Advertising, “and our plan is to grow by another 30 per cent this coming year. This rate of expansion is rewarding but hard work, so it’s great for everyone in the company to get the kind of recognition that Beacon status bestows.
“When you look at the amazing calibre of other advertising agencies in the region, being one of the first to have achieved Beacon status brings our accomplishments into even sharper focus. I think this must be down to our strong client relationships, which enable us to understand and fulfill requirements 100 per cent and more.”
RH Advertising is the largest full service independent agency in the South West. Clients include national brands such as Mr Sheen, Fujitsu Siemens and The National Trust and regional clients including South West RDA, Devon County Council, VisitCornwall, Paignton Zoo and Traveline. The agency has developed a fully integrated suite of creative and marketing services, including brand development, marketing strategies, media buying, advertising and direct marketing.
According to Beacon South West, RH Advertising was awarded Beacon status because of its successful business strategy and exploitation of market opportunities. Its innovation in the development of an integrated ‘real time’ agency management system was also a key factor, as was its development of a multi-skilled creative team.
“RH Advertising is a great addition to the 200-strong cluster of Beacon companies,” says Sue Baker, project director for Beacon South West. “We believe the agency has an important role to play in helping us cultivate enterprise excellence in the region.”
RH Advertising will now be listed on the Beacon South West website as an exemplar company alongside other top regional business brands such as Aardman Animations, St Austell Brewery, Graphic plc, ROK, Triodos Bank and The Seafood Restaurant. It will have the opportunity to share experience with other Beacon companies, access ideas and market intelligence and contribute to the regional business agenda.
