William Pollard Takes Delivery of a Large Format Printer and Finishing Equipment
Exeter printer Pollards announces the delivery of a Heidelberg 5-colour printing press, which prints on B2 (520mm x 720mm) paper. This equipment extends further the litho and digital print capabilities of the company.
Production Director Dennis Mason says, "Having recently updated our workflow software we have now moved on to the next phase of our restructuring and re-equipping programme. The move to the B2 press supplements our existing line-up of Heidelberg B3 (353mm x 500mm) 5- and 2-colour presses, as well as our traditional continuous machines."
In addition, Pollards has purchased a new folding machine which creases and perforates as well as folding a wide variety of ways, a new guillotine and an additional laminator. Managing Director Mervyn Ely comments, "These are remarkable complements to our existing range, greatly extending the services we can offer to our customers, while also helping the companies we work with to effectively control and manage their print costs.
"Our next investment is the upgrade and enhancement of our Print Management System to improve our efficiency and to allow customers more online stock management and ordering features."
